This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under the UK GDPR, EU GDPR (where applicable), and PECR (email marketing rules).

• Website & waitlist (Phase 1): armed-one.com and our email newsletters and waitlist forms.

• Mobile app (Phase 2 – coming soon): data processed inside the Armed-One mobile app.
  

3) Data we collect

A) From the website & waitlist (Phase 1)

• Contact details: email address (and name if you provide it) when you join the waiting list.

• Communications: your preferences (e.g., double opt-in status), unsubscribe requests, and replies.

• Technical data: standard web logs (e.g., IP address, browser type) generated by our hosting/CDN for security and performance.

• Cookies: only essential cookies required to operate forms and security by default.

4) How we use your data & lawful basis

Website & waitlist (Phase 1)

• Send waitlist confirmations and product updates (email).
  Lawful basis: consent (you can withdraw any time via Unsubscribe).

• Operate and secure our website and forms (fraud prevention, rate-limiting, uptime).
  Lawful basis: legitimate interests (keeping services secure and functional).

• Comply with legal obligations (e.g., record-keeping for consent).
  Lawful basis: legal obligation.

5) Data retention

• Waitlist email data: kept until you unsubscribe or after 24 months of inactivity, whichever is earlier (we’ll then delete or anonymise).

• Support emails: up to 24 months for audit and to manage follow-ups.

6) Who we share data with (processors)

We do not sell your data. We use trusted processors to run our services:

• MailerLite – email marketing (waiting list, newsletters, double opt-in, unsubscribes).

• Hosting/CDN/DNS – e.g., your web host and/or Cloudflare for security and performance.

Each provider only receives what’s necessary to deliver their service and is bound by a contract (data processing terms).

7) International transfers

Some processors may store or process data outside the UK/EEA (e.g., the US). Where this happens, we rely on approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum and/or EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and require our processors to implement appropriate security measures.

8) Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data

• Rectify inaccurate data

• Erase your data (“right to be forgotten”)

• Restrict or object to processing (including direct marketing)

• Data portability

• Withdraw consent at any time (does not affect prior lawful processing)

10) Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including TLS encryption in transit, role-based access, and least-privilege access for processors. No system is 100% secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting you, we will notify you and regulators where required.

11) Children

Armed-One is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided data to us, contact support@armed-one.com and we will delete it.

12) Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect product or legal changes. We will post the new version here and update the “Last updated” date. For material changes, we may also notify you by email.
